Ocean Polymers is delighted to announce the addition of Dr. Louis J. Circeo, PhD, PE, to its team of key advisors.
Holding the position of Director of Plasma Research at Georgia Institute of Technology (the leading technology innovator in the United States), for over 12 years and currently appointed as the Chief Scientist at Applied Plasma Arc Technologies, a member company of the Georgia Tech Advanced Technology Development Centre (ATDC), Lou is an industry expert in the technology that will be key to our ocean based project.
On joining the team Louis says: “I am very pleased to have the opportunity to support Ocean Polymers in their endeavours to develop technologies to rid the oceans and rivers of the world’s plastic waste and debris. The high energy content contained in plastics, combined with the ultra-high plasma gasification temperatures and processing rates, offer a unique capability to develop commercially viable land based and ship borne plasma gasification facilities that are operationally sound and environmentally sustainable.”
Paul Rodger, Managing Director and Founder of Ocean Polymers says of the appointment:
“Lou offers an exceptional breadth of experience and expertise in the development of plasma technology, most specifically in its waste to energy application and it is our honour to welcome him to the Ocean Polymers project and mission to create a sustainable environmentally friendly solution to our plastic crisis. He will be key in our focused work towards our next milestone and getting OP1 in the water.’’
